Conveyancing - Selling and Buying

Hi
I have just accepted an offer on my house and am about to authorise a conveyance to progress the sale which I expect to be fairly routine.
At the moment, I have not found a propoerty to buy. I do not need to connect the sale with the purchase of a property although I may make bids on property while my sale is going through.
If I did have a bid accepted on another property while my sale is completing, would I be tied to the conveynacing company that is doing the sale? What would be the implications of going to another company to do the purchase?
Any advice would be welcome

There's no reason why you should use the same solicitors/conveyancers for your sale and purchase. But if you are moving from one property to the other, on the same date, it makes things a bit more straightforward as otherwise the two firms will have to communicate with each other and money will have to be moved around more (which will cost you a little bit more in CHAPS charges).0
