potential problem with my DRO?

Hi,
I can't seem to find a simple answer to my problem, thought I'd try here. In 2011 I took out a DRO after a change in my circumstances meant I could no longer afford certain bills. One of these bills was for a career development loan. I had been getting letters, and had written to the bank informing them of the DRO to which they said the letters were automatic and would stop once the period was up.
I got a letter the other day for this loan figured I would say what the CAB thought as they were who I went through to get the DRO. My appointment was today and we spoke to the bank etc, they told us that they had never received any information about the DRO. But what is really worrying me, is that they said that the career development loan is a student loan and so doesn't apply in the DRO.
I'm hoping whether anyone can shed light on whether a career development loan would count as a student loan? It wasn't sold to me by the bank as one and I was told by the advisor at the CAB in 2011 that the loan would be written off as part of the DRO, however the advisor today didn't seem certain or confident about it? Any help would be very apreicated. Thank you

The bank is talking nonsense. A CDL from a bank is written off by a DRO.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
