Switch after moving house
Hi,
Looking for a bit of help. I recently moved home. The electricity and gas provider in the new house was/is npower. I haven't changed anything, contacted them or had a bill/correspondence from them. I've done a comparison on the cheap energy club. My preferred supplier would be npower (different tariff). So my question is - can I 'switch' suppliers via the club to the same supplier? (And if yes, will I get the stated cashback?).
Thanks for any help

No, you can't switch to another supplier until you have registered for an account with Npower, with whom you were in a deemed contract from day one. I hope you took opening readings on that day? The supplier isn't psychic, so they don't know that the occupancy has changed unless you contact them.
If you want to stay with Npower anyway, just ask to go straight onto your required tariff-however you'll be billed on Standard tariff for energy used to date.
No you can't get any cashback, because you are not switching supplier. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Thanks very much for your help macman. Yes we took readings and the previous owner notified npower of these. I'll get in touch with npower now.
Thanks again for taking the time to reply - appreciated.:beer:0 -
