247blinds

Anyone used 247blinds.co.uk before?

I ordered £79 worth of vertical and roller blinds from them last Wednesday using standard delivery. They have still not arrived and I've not had any word saying when they will be dispatched or delivered.

Have you contacted them to ask if they have been dispatched yet? I'd think that should be your first port of call.

As it's not even been a week since you ordered, I think that with the bad weather affecting a lot of delivery companies, that it isn't that surprising that they haven't arrived yet.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
  • I have used this company on and off for the last 10 years or so - never had a problem !

They came today so a week + 1 day for delivery so not too bad.

Only problem is they have sent the louvres to fit the full length of my window meaning they are too long after they have been put on the rail. I gave them the drop of the window and expect that the rail+louvres would fit this drop not the rail being extra.
  • Hi All,

We are writing here as 247blinds have now had our money, over £500, since 11 April, almost 40 days. I am dealing with John S who comes up with a new excuse each and every day. We contacted them on 27 April when we installed the blinds to inform them they were wrong colour and that they were faulty (tilting mechanismn doesn't tilt fully both ways and they are sluggish coming down, you have to pull them down by hand). They took two weeks to have them collected. And their usuall; 'fobbing off' process started. First, the manufactorer confirmed this was the right colour. All the boxes were marked COTTON WHITE and we ordered PURE WHITE. T|he excuse they gave is that this is what manufacturer calls pure white. Now, the also sell on the website cotton white, if that was true is is misselling. First thing they have tried it was to say I should have ordered the samples. nWe had some old samples so I thought, perhaps he was right. So, in a friend's name, we ordered the samples which promptly arrived, again. Got them out, matched against the colour and confirmed that what we thought was correct, they are wrong colour. The colour doesn't really match any of the samples but it gets the closest to cotton white, we thought. Now, because they are only agents, his second excuse was that cotton white blinds and pure blinds are manufactured by two different, independent manufacturers so they must be right. Of course, they never checked the other faults and they thought this was the end of it. So after another 4 days they got round to checking the tilting mechanism and release mechanism and guess what, they came back to say everything was fine. This is despite sending them photographic evidence. Next thing, I was told to send the samples I had at home. I cut the part and send it special next day. John told me on Friday 16/4 the manufacturer is sending them back to 247 and they will check themselves on Monday, which is today. Today I rang to find out theyt missed Friday delivery slot and they will get them tomorrow. The story continues...I am giving them an extra day until Wednesday noon before lodgfing Small Claims Court Claim. These blinds, despite not being the cheapest, look cheap, they do not work as intended and they are wrong colour. We will be informing Trading Standards and if you have had similar or even worse experiences please get in touch and we will do something together. I heard stories when eventually customers had to pay £8 to get their faulty blinds back to them. I wrote a complaint to the manager and had no reply whatsover. They cannot be getting away with selling faulty items and taking no responsibility. Shame on you, 247 blinds.

247blinds lack any customer service. I rate them as a rubbish company and will never use them again.

In the end I got much better quality blinds for the same money from a local blind firm operating out of an industrial unit on a near by trading estate. They sell a lot on eBay but as they were not that far away I collected instead.
