Car Insurance Query

Hi
Following a very frustrating telephone call with an insurance advisor, and having trawled the internet with no success, I thought I'd try you guys.
My partner's daughter has 2 part-time jobs with 2 completely separate employers. She is attempting to renew her car insurance and has been told that, as she has 2 employers she will require business insurance.
I asked her to pass the phone to me and asked for an explanation. The insurance company said, commuting only covered travel to a single place of work. I explained that I could understand that if she was travelling to different sites as part of her work but she commutes to work, comes home, commutes to work and comes home again.
Nope...apparently 2 jobs = business insurance. I disagreed but got no joy from her, her supervisor, or her manager.
Although the additional premium isn't huge, I don't think she should be paying for something she doesn't need.
Am I right, or a meringue??
Any help gratefully received.
Cheers

How much extra are we talking about?
Find a company that doesn't it free, but I'd say she's still commuting.0 -
An extra £10/month0

A few of the Insurers basically say they will cover you for "Social and Domestic and commuting to a SINGLE place of work".
Which can basically mean private use and driving to and form JUST ONE place of work.
If they do this then they would want you to have class one business use which is basically private use and driving to different places of work/business.
This does not apply to all Insurers as others may be happy without the business use0 -
No idea how it affects quotes, But most websites ask for the main job and ask of there are any part times jobs.
I wouldnt have thought it would automatically add business use.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
