What should i be loking at for an account for my daughter to put money gifts that she receives?

therese will be ad hoc and not regular. I can only think of a current account

A basic savings account would probably give better rates of interest than a current account?

How old is your daughter? Who would be making the gifts? When would you wish her to have access to the money?

7 weeks, and 19 months. parents, grandparents, uncles etc. 16 or 18.
