Have I come to end of the road with this PPI claim?

Hi guys,
I have a PPI claim with Santander which they did not uphold. However they did say that if I could prove I was working part-time they would look into it again. I have contacted my old company but they don't have records going back that long and have tried to contact the HMRC but keep getting banded around there so I decided to send my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman as I was concerned time was ticking on and I wasn't getting anywhere.
I have had a letter back this morning saying that as my policy was taken out pre January 2005 that they can not help. Can anyone think of any other avenue I could try or is it time to give on this one?
Thanks in advance.

Keep badgering HMRC, but do be aware that Santander promising to "look into it again" is no guarantee that they would then uphold.
Good luck.0 -
Thank you, I will do. It's a bit of a nightmare trying to get in touch with HMRC but I will keep trying.0

If the FOS can't help then it sounds like you are complaining about a store card. If the store card provider was ge money, complain to Genworth and see what happens.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Thank you, yes it was a store card for Dorothy Perkins, it was Santander I was complaining to, do you know how if that would still be Genworth I would need to contact?0

Genworth Insurance are the underwriter who handle rejected Santander Cards complaints. Check their website for a complaints address.0
