I also had a look at this one from the front page
http://excoupuk.com/
again a lot of out of date things but I did find a Farm foods conditional spend one - wish i'd seen this before as I spend £20 last week
http://www.farmfoods.co.uk/includes/Vouchers/org/Vouchers.pdf“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Are you talking about american TV or UK couponers? Tesco will only accept items that have been bought with a valid coupon, anything else gets rejected. Asda now refuse to accept most coupons unless manufacture issued and even then can be funny. Sainsburys have a list of forged coupons from eBay.
Probably PDF coupons in multiples.
do you remember about 2 - 3 years ago when there was that facebook page .. you had to load a tip and you unlocked a coupon for certain achievements which could be printed twice and to a different printer if you had one so maybe 4 times. That was great and I was just learning about couponing then and unlocked so many coupons (I got abit obsessed) that I went into Tescos the next day with 98 fairy liquid coupons each with a different bar code and none were reprinted or fraudulent for £1 off Fairy liquid. I got others for things like Tampons and always and got about 20 boxes of each. There was a surf one for £1 and Tesco was in the throws of its glitches for the buy one get one free /3 for 2 promotions which took both offers off at checkout, so I ended up with massive bottles of concentrated surf for £2.80 each... they had been at £15 but then with buy one get one free became half price, then the other offer kicked in and I got the £1 off each one. Mission Control was the name but was it P&G????
The supervisor was called and looked at each coupon and verified each one.. luckily I hadn't made any mistakes at all, but she was really unhappy with me and told me that it was unfair to other customers that I could get so many fairy liquids for free as that was not why they had been reduced. I had printed a sign for the checkout with some tear off strips for other customers if they came behind me in the queue so they could coupon too.. she hated that too.
There was also the colgate and the comfort pure which were sometimes free, sometimes 5p and sometimes 25p depending on where you managed to get them from.
2 years later I still have crates full of comfort pure and they fill my shed, also Heinz five beans (free on a pdf), Ariel Stain remover, Campbell soups and flash and much more ....but im running out of lots of things in the house where I only couponed maybe 10 - 20. im also now running out of the L'Oreal face wipes and products which were also free and I think im down to about 10 of each product.
I would say extreme couponing is still doable in the UK but definitely not to the same degree as say 3 years ago ie before Martin Lewis went on TV.. think it was This MOrning and told the nation how couponers could save & make money from coupons as in those days you could use any coupon on any product without buying the actual product itself. You cant even extreme coupon to the degree this site taught me 2 years ago but you can still get some good deals .. I just collected 15 bags of pampers, 15 bottles of johnsons products, and other baby products for a friend who had a baby last week and the total cost at checkout after coupons and deals was £19. other than that the best I get at the moment is maybe £25 off an £80 bill. That's when all offers, coupons, APG's are taken off.
Its just about checking the relevant sites every few days, and also signing up to lots of spam news letters where you may get a coupon or two. I check here, the Excoupuk site, Buzzuk, DailyMail rewards, Johnsons Caring, SuperSavvy, Approved Food at least once a week, then there are the emails from newsletters. There are loads more other sites too.
For all those who think im mad and think I spend ages on it .. I work full time 60 hours a week, have a good wage (now) but had a lot of debt from years ago. When I first started it took me hours to get my head around deals, savings and if actually using that coupon was worth it. Now I spend maybe 5 - 10 mins every few days on my saved sites and since couponing I paid for an extension to my house and repaid my debt.. its taught me to be good with all my cash and also to share the spoils.... we donate half of the items I get for free to a local charity twice a year and the others I allow my friends and family to get what they want from the house or shed to help them too. Im not one of the ones who thinks we should not share coupons.
Some couponers like to keep the coupons to themselves as they see it as the more shared then the less for them. I see this as false... I would get my own coupons on timed offers or offers where there are only a limited number available.. like the innocent juice last week or Thai Burgers.. see hot deals Uk for those. But the way I look at it is for couponing to become the norm and acceptable to the large supermarkets we need to act legally and within the rules and use them as much as possible so they become a marketing boost for supermarkets like in the USA where they will boost a certain coupon to double for a day, or do a raincheck if out of stock n a product and still honour the coupon. The only way supermarkets and manufacturers will embrace coupons is if there is something in it for them and if customers will take business to a shop which is happy to accept coupons it will speak for itself.
so that's my two pennies worth lol xxx0 -
Can some one answer a couple of questions for me:
These extreme couponers who stock pile 100's of an item, how do they get so many coupons for the product.
Also do they only buy what the coupon is for, say in Tesco or are they giving a pile to the cashier to scan at the end.
Jill
several ways
pdf which says one per product.. so Heinz five beans were on a 50p Asda, with 50p moc on a PDF which can be saved & printed as much as you want. Some guys on here bought the beans at morrisons which was cheaper and made money on this coupon & received money off the rest of their shopping.
Print several times. depending on whether its a smart coupon or issued by Valassis etc coupons can be printed 1, 2, 4 times. when you hit print, click on right hand side of mouse and hit back button .. you may get another print.. it doesn't always work and some companies have disabled the feature. If it does check you have two different barcodes on each coupon.
Use several email addresses. some coupons can be sent to lots of email addresses and will print from the email no problem but some will still only let you have 1 or 2.
Have several facebook accounts. as above. like the product on each and download however you may still only get to print a maximum number of times.
Use several internet search providers. ive found that I can get the daily mail coupons to print for each account I have if I open a different internet 'thingy' ie Mozilla, Internet explorer, Safari and Opera. so I got lots of the covent soup coupons which were free for the £1 soups in Asda
have a few printers. I personally don't do this but my friend now does. She got several printers from the Freecycle and Freegle sites & she logs on to several sites with different emails, via a proxy which changes her ip address and prints. (far too much effort for me)
Collect the store mags. My hubby gets about 20 every time he goes for the free coupons
I only buy the exact product the coupon and I keep the couponed items separate to my main shop.. usually at the end or start. I always give the cashier a cheesy grin and apologise.. tell her ive got loads of coupons but ive kept all the products for her the check off separate. She loves this as it reduces her work. I also tell everyone who comes to stand behind me in the queue so they don't get fed up or delayed. In 3 years ive had one really nowty guy behind me who was drunk and got thrown out for swearing at me.. I wasn't bothered. And ive had one Tesco lady fed up cos I so many free products and ive had a couple of minor run ins. other than that ive been VERY lucky
Don't bother buying any coupons on ebay etc as they are usually fraudulent.
Good luck xxx0 -
