Can I watch Sky on Xbox without paying

I was setting up my Xbox 360 to watch movies off my WiFi hard drive when I noticed that there's a Sky viewer app for it too.

I'm really intending to use the Xbox as a media centre rather than for gaming, and since I've got a Sky TV subscription and I thought - great I can watch it on my 2nd TV too.

But it seems it needs an Xbox Live Gold subscription to receive it.

I don't want to pay for Xbox live; is there any way to watch Sky without paying for it?

If not, then I'll just uninstall the app, but I thought I'd ask the question before doing so.

You will need to pay for Xbox Live & Sky.

I've got Sky, so it was really just regarding the Xbox, which I don't want to pay.

Not that I know of. Damn Gold account, you can't even use youtube without it!

Thanks - that's what I was worried about.

I just thought it would be a cool thing to have it available, but I'm not a gamer and I don't see the value in paying a Gold subscription; I guess I'll just ditch that idea and remove the app.
