Hi, I was in there about the same time as you. They have stacks at the end of the biscuit aisle and some of the other aisles and it says buy two get two free there. They do seem smaller this year but thanks anyway OP.0 -
Hi, just been to Tesco with my friend and she bought 16 eggs and some strawberries. The girl at the checkout got confused and cancelled some of the eggs and started again, just checked receipt when we got home and she have been overcharged by £1 50. Total shopping was £15 50. Just wanted to know if she is entitled to double the difference how much it would be and does she need to take the eggs back. She doesn't want to walk all the way back for £1 50. Thanks in advance.0

My husband has just come back from Tesco. He bought 4 eggs for £3 which was good. Trouble is, I had already decided not to buy the grandchildren eggs and have bought them gifts instead as they get too many eggs as it is. Lucky children. When I was little, if I got one egg, I was doing well.0

The article you quoted is something completely different from being overcharged in Tesco, the OP is indeed entitled to double the difference.:grinheart “Truly Great Madness Cannot Be Achieved Without Significant Intelligence.”:grinheart0 -

Thanks, I just asked my local Tesco and they said definitely no double the difference but they would give a £1.50 overcharge refund.
Thanks though, If I ever shop instore and I get overcharged I will certainly make sure I ask for Double the Difference.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. It is definitely DTD, if any Tesco says no then you call their customer care and they'll give your Tesco a wrap on the knuckles and you'll get your DTD.
OP, you don't need to lug back your eggs to the shop, just take your receipt before the offer ends.:grinheart “Truly Great Madness Cannot Be Achieved Without Significant Intelligence.”:grinheart0 -
