I had quite a large collection of these. ;) They were recycled at a local primary school and resurfaced as Father Christmas/snowmen etc as Christmas fridge magnet gifts for mum/dad/nanny etc.:D

They were great quality and very versatile, with mine we did faces with different emotions... happy, sad etc.

I returned the bag because I had no need for it, and preferred the quilt cover. I only bought the bag as it was 1p
I don't often post but today I thought , I have found something that I can pass on and help others so they could benefit if they so wished , I now remember why I don't often post!
I'm sorry if some of you think what I did was crossing the line, I see far worse being posted on here... back to hiding :o

I think a lot of us wondered why you went to the trouble to take it back when you only paid 1p for it unless you knew it would come up at £15 which I doubt. I'd have probably given it away lol

I like London, as a visitor...
Work years ago meant I went every 3/4 months for a couple of days.. guess I was money saving then as I received civil service overnight & travel rates, but got good hotel deals and used family discount for buses, so was quids in and stayed at posh hotels:)

Mr P hates London... he went there once in 1971 and won't go back:rotfl:

I once caught a train into and out of Kingscross... apart from this venture I have never been to London!

What they are talking about supposedly doesn't work anymore

I done a test order at the w/e only a couple of 1/2 price items to take me below the £50 threshold and the conditional spends still worked!;)

it did include a finest meal deal which knocked £8 off the price!:D

£47 order for less than £20

It does work on existing accounts where you have been given a code from Ts for that account ;)
I have one for tomorrow, and I did last week with no problems, I think it's just the new customer codes that are a problem.

Thats why i said supposedly ;)

I've not been doing it but have seen some people say they had the codes removed at collection

Ah:)(:(). Someone asked about the dates prices change at the various stores. I'm sure I've posted something about this before.

Prices in W can change on Mondays. As msm can be behind by a day or so, it seems best to wait till at least Wednesday (I'd delay even longer, but I'm just being over-cautious nowadays, in an attempt to ensure (doubless doomed to fail) that ever glitch attempt I make in future works) on items that have changed in price compared to last week or have become new offers etc. this week.

Mr T tends to have two big changes - Sunday night (in other words Monday shopping in T) is one - takes till about (Tuesday?) Wednesday to filter through - and big price change day is Tuesday. It's always risky just after price change. Includes new half price offers - I'd wait even longer - likely to compare to full price still for the day after - I'd wait till at least Thursday. Of course if you know an item was on offer last week and is still on offer, it seems safe(r) - but beware, if it has 'rolled over', it may not compare or may compare to full price again for a couple of days until it compares back to half price later. That old crossed price and then the same higher price uncrossed (on msm). It's what T seems to do on Sunday evenings:naughty: with items whose 'half price' (etc.) offer is being extended. They temporarily appear at full price on Sunday (evening?) before going back to half price again* (Sunday night or sometimes not for a few days - and remember you need the black price (to the right of the products in a search list) to change on t.com for it to register on msm and thus the APG, not for the mere offer banner to show on t.com).

Sainsbobs have people instores changing prices on late Tuesday nights. In other words, Wednesday trading start is change over.

M prices change with start of trading on Mondays. Occasionally, a few more offers go on on Wednesday and, even more occasionally, a weekend special on an item or two (or possibly a little more), usually booze or champagne, may go on at, erm, the weekend:D. Sat and Sun (won't be picked up by APG (unless/until it does online collection) but may be picked up by T PP).

Most of the stores have end dates on their offers (although offers, usually in T, can 'roll-over' as indicated above), but A do not usually have them. Occasionally you can find information in the A magazine though which tells you when certain offers are due to end (e.g. those dreaded 50p Pot Noodles recently). Or you may find inserts or the A Price News leaflet in local free press that gives the details. Items (I get the impression mainly in supermarkets as opposed to superstores - probably wrong on that though) can start on Monday mornings.

Mr A tends to have price increases on Saturday morning (cynically, to catch the weekend worker-shoppers who have been unable to shop all week). So Friday night online (shows for following day's delivery) may indicate some of these changes.

Also items tend to start on r'llbacks (having been on higher-priced mbuys) on Wednesdays or Thursdays. Keep an eye on these as different pricing may apply on APG to what you purchased at. I suspect there may be a three-week or four-week cycle on some of this, but, as with all stores, prices on individual items can change on any day.

Someone can probably get a table up (as one of the numerous candidates for items for appearances on page one:D)

    W Monday
    T Sunday night/Monday. Biggie Tuesday.
    S Tuesday night/Wednesday. Possibly Saturday.
M Monday. Occasional Wednesday. Less common weekend.
A Monday (new offers, possibly supermarkets, or chain-wide). Wednesday/Thursday (r'backs). Saturday (price increases).

Just a guide as other changes may break these perceived patterns.

*As if to suggest they have just been full price and are going on half price 'tomorrow' (when in fact they've been half price for a week or more and are just continuing on that offer).
  • Woo hoo I have just had a dispatch notice from CC for my necklaces and scarves. Thank you who ever found it
