The secret is to get them all of your kids to finish education and training etc and go out to work and leave a gap before the next stage when they start house buying and child producing so that your own finances have a chance to recover and you get some alone time, time to mend and fix your house, car and marriage :D

I've known 2 people, one whose daughter married straight After uni and started having babies so she was back doing child care again.

Another who has 2 daughters with 5 under 8s. In the morning all 5 grandchildren arrive and nana has to walk up to school with all of them, take the babies home and do the child are all day, collect from school again in the afternoon. This is so the daughters can get free child care work and afford their mortgages.
One daughter lives 40 miles away and does this 4 days a week

My mil was made redundant in her early 50s and always had my 3 in school holidays (our houses backed on to each other) I know she loved it, and liked to help by popping in to do the washing as I was out the house 80 hours a week BUT........I did pay her. Not a formal arrangement and at first she didnt want the money but it helped her and my fil treat the kids and take them on days out and holidays. In term time I shared arrangements with a friend, one of use did before school and one after depending on my friends shift pattern.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. So nice to be remembered here. I also got a few text messages I was not expecting so feeling loved today.

Ironically it would have been my 30th wedding anniversary today but best we forget that:eek:

Friend due over in a bit as he needs some offical forms filling in and mum popping over later.

Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.

I would say Jalfrezi is a bit above mild, Korma is (to me) sickly, creamy & vile but the wife and daughter like it.
If you want to try the jalfrezi warm it up and try one, you can always sling a good dollop of yoghurt in to calm it down.

I can recommend the yoghurt trick, it does not make the curries too creamy, I always have to do that with Mr TS's homemade ones.

Thanks to the OPs of the BNI deal especially whoever found the onion rings comparing, have put them in freezer for birthday parties. :T

    Good morning everyone.

Yes we walked out yesterday, after them giving us their best deal, but came home and checked it out on tinternet, and found it cheaper again, and quidco:eek:

We have seen the bel air one that we like and that has the rocker recliner, that OH fell in love, this sofa is so comfy, but I said not to get the rocker, as think it could break easily, as kids would just constantly be rocking on it, as we left the shop a bunch of kids were jumping on it and rocking like mad

Oh lovely, to hear another good report, I keep finding bad reports on the internet about Harveys, but then again most people only go on to slate people, you dont find many people go on to give good reports.

I got the bel aire corner sofa in black leatheraire (fake leather!). As I said, I hadn't seen it before ordering, and did go into Harveys a few weeks later and saw a bel aire sofa in some kind of faux suede material and was really worried I'd made a mistake. However, my sofa is gorgeous, and looks just like leather (without the horrible smell of leather which I don't like!). Did take 14 weeks though, and they don't keep in touch, literally got an email when it was nearly ready to arrange delivery.

I went through topcashback (although it didn't track and have put an enquiry in) and also managed to hit a day where they had a sale, think it was 10% off everything.
