It's so frustrating isn't it, they will probably quote something to do with insurance to get round it.
Speaking of delivery charges, going back to my son's bed purchase, the local retail park wanted £39.99 to delivery a king size bed approximately 1 mile from the store. I'm sure you can imagine what my response was, funny how John Lewis delivered for free and their nearest store from us is over 70+ miles away.
Just goes to show you though and we got to chose a morning or afternoon slot for delivery, not just the day. Kept up to date with delivery info, with a call to say it's on it's way, then another to say they were between 30 and 45 minutes away so won't be too long. Brilliant service so would definitely consider using again even if I had to pay delivery with them.
A friend at work had to pay two delivery charges from one shop, she purchased two items from the shop, but as one was a consession in the bigger shop (store within the store so to speak), she was charged twice, I'm sure the items came on the same delivery though. Con merchants, so watch out for that one folks. She did get a slight reduction in the end, but not much.0 -
Hello folks, great new thread Lutzi, thank you, just had to comment here, I switched to 500+ thread count bedding and I would not go back, it is a pleasure to sleep in and they wear so much better too, having said that my DH was in dunelm with me last week and I persueded him to buy a new pillow he could not believe that there were some priced at £89 each , he settled for one at £30 even that  him:rotfl:
My son has one of those £80+ pillows (Cloud memory foam or something) on his 2014 Christmas list. Said son will be 23 next January and said if not for Christmas can he have for his birthday (please mum).
I said I'd think about it, well I'm still thinking .....0 -

Good afternoon,
Can I ask, have the muller yoghurts stopped working with the burgers, I see there is some discussion about fillers, I was going to do a burger shop with 10 different mullers, but I thinking this may not be working anymore, does anyone know?
Thanks0 -

ha ha, that's cute. He is 23 and wants a decent pillow, instead of spending it on booze, carp clothing or aftershave:D

Doesn't surprise me, this is the same son who would literally fall asleep standing up, he would get to his bed as a child, put his head on the top of his bed and go to sleep.
He would also fall asleep half way up the stairs, decide he was too tired to carry on, so just curled up and went to sleep.
He still loves his sleep now and can't imagine this ever changing,0 -

When my DD was working for Bensons she got me one of the Dunlop memory foam pillows, should have been £80 and she got it for £5It is wonderful and I have not had a stiff neck when I wake up since
It is well worth the price, not that I would ever pay it!
