Ive got a santander 123 account which my direct debits go out of.They give me discounts of 3% on phone bills,2% on gas and electric and 1% on council tax and water.I keep this topped up to£20000 to get 3% interest on the balance.

I know - that's a good deal if you are organised enough and know what's being paid. There's a monthly fee I believe but, if you do it right, and spend the stuff you would already be spending (do not let these discounts become incentives to spend more than you would otherwise have done), that outweighs the fee. Sadly:(:(, I'm not that disciplined - so I just go for the "safe" no-fee option, even if probably slightly less than what I would otherwise get. I would be a rate tart in the making. Sadly I would need to be much more disciplined than I am to ever do Stoozing properly.:)

Aren't they McVities ones (Choc Pink Panther Wafers) as well, not Rivington's ones? Not that I know too much on this trigger - only lucky I picked right one. It's the Chocolate Pink Panther Wafers needed - not the plain Pink Wafers ones but the Pink Wafers Chocolate something?

The correct trigger is the Rivingtons chocolate milkshake pink panther wafers.

You can have a Halifax account and a Santander. Accounts need to see Money in and out. Don t have to keep it in. Halifax just needs to see 750 and two dds.

    easy peasy.

Then it's probably high time it was switched;). To Nationwide, Halifax and First Direct (and Santander as well if not already been there). Actually it's probably better to leave one or more off so you can go there after the one-year bonus rates are up. Then probably close down the new account entirely - you can't go back later for more switching money (on some) unless you first cease to be customer for however long:rotfl:.

I've been with them for about 16 ish years. There was a while where I had nothing, them giving me an overdraft was kinda my last hope. They gave me it but I then spent the next ten years living in it.

They were no help at all when I got into trouble with bank charges. I saw them make a grown man cry with their refusal to help when they could have done.

They've had more than enough money out of me over the years, and now I've got a few quid in my account and am nowhere near touching my overdraft, they are falling over themselves to offer me the 123 account.

They weren't interested when I needed them so I'm !!!!!!ed if they're getting any of my money now
