There are no limits on the number of cash ISAs you can hold. You can open multiple cash ISAs in any given tax year, but you can ONLY deposit new funds up to £5760 into 1 each tax year.
EG. If you open one and deposit you can open another and transfer to get a better rate, but not add new funds. Money deposited in previous tax years can also be transferred at any time. Those are the basic HMRC rules.

Banks will also have their own rules relating to spefic accounts. Regular Savings ISAs usually require a monthly depoist to fulfill T&C's, some do not. Is that what you have ? Standard cash ISAs do not require regular deposits.

ISAs can seem complicated, but they're not, but you do have to be very specific about what you have to enable a correct answer.

Thanks, yes i do get confused:rotfl::rotfl: the ones we have now we dont have to put a specific amount in each month we just do for savings and for rent, rent is paid yearly.
So if we open another one each, the cheque we will be paying in split between is will be a few hundred under the yearly limit so we would not add any more but then next year could we add cash into both if we wanted ?
    Thankyou for your help:D

squigs I hope that you're feeling better soon

miffle2 sorry to hear about your dd, thank goodness that she has you to support her. I'm sure that at some point she will thank her lucky stars that this happened now rather than in 20 years' time. Although it won't feel like it right now, things can only improve from now on.

Sorry if I've missed anyone out, sending hugs and positive thoughts to all who need them

Thanks for the hugs hopefully will see improvement soon:)

tweets hope you and Poppy are ok. This was not your fault at all, the other dogs should have been on leads and it would never have happened xx

Not sure but I thought it was an offence to have dogs off leads ...

Sorry babe :( thought it would help.

I was under the impression that you could have as many as you like as long as you dont save more than the limits.

I find it difficult to get a decent rated Isa the now as some current accounts offering more interest even with the tax taken off

Besides all my spare money spent on ...... mortgage overpayments.
