Hi.
That's why I never go shopping on Sat. afternoons:(:mad:. Shop done, with the Caramel hoping-trigger, and fighting my way through the traffic ever since:(. Trust it that Sat afternoon is one of the best times for wombling - the two go hand in hand. Or at least wombling in theory. Store seemed to be thin on the ground on wombles:( - even though it's sunny here - I bet it's either too cold or not hot enough to encourage people to leave the receipts.
However, I still managed a few wombles - more than I thought I had! :mad:First one due up (apart from the under 8 item exclusions) - the £4 Cathedral again:(:(:(:p - so, as it turns out, it was inevitably no good.
Store did have the Caramel Wagons though - first item I saw on the shelf that was in the offer!:D:j:):) They were also offering a whoopsied price of £1.24:eek::rotfl: on some of the Medley packs. Quite rightly I ignored that, and got a second full price pack out from behind them, not only is that £1.24 more expensive than the unit price when taking up the offer (effectively £1 each), and therefore doesn't help save me anything at all, it'd also, undoubtedly, mean a comparison from £1.24 on the receipt on the pack as bought (if it appears at all) - so I made sure I got the full price ones:D. Imagine though your average person in store - even if they got the Caramel Wagon with them (quite unlikely), they would most likely see the £1.24 price and think "wooo...that's a good offer!:D".:mad::mad::wall:And thus lose on the APG they aren't checking anyway:wall:.
I got a nice SA today ("nice" not in the sense of smarmy but one that was more agreeable to me). SA said everyone should check receipts(:think:). I replied they'd pull the APG within a week if everyone shopped like I did:D, no further details as a Caramel Wagon hopeful-trigger had gone through the till.
Ooh - if I chat/waffle enough, it'll be time to check another receipt.:rotfl:0 -

I take a list of the items I want (and a few alternatives in case they aren't available) when I go shopping - especially if they are lots of very subtlely different versions that could trip up even me:eek:. I'm always incommunicado though when in store and not able to check at the precise moment I am buying, to see if mbuys are back on etc. I'm considering getting a phone just for this but so far it's been my choice not to have one.0 -
