Morning all
You only need 8 items to compare, confused why 9 didn't work
1 item was a roll of food bags so perhaps that didn't count kitchen roll and pan scourers others were tins of fruit little bags of raisins and the shampoo so I was disappointed as well, but I usually make sure and go for overkill on the 8 items, but we were in a hurry x"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

Lol I had to look twice at those flowers on the left I thought it was a big pile of socks and I ve got my glasses on.
I knew when I needed glasses when we were driving along one day and I thought it was a small dog at the side of the road but it was a wooden planter on four legsBlind Susie.
Good Morning everyone off to Oswestry with Riley and hubby to pick up one of those heaters from. Halfords for £13. 50 . Nearest place to us that has them.
Is it not something knitted (as in a footstool/cushion)?

Just woken up after a restless night there
Enterprise. I wholeheartedly understand where you are coming from about the freezer. When I replaced ours it took me about 6 weeks to find the size I wanted at a price I was happy with.
I wasn't fussed about looks or brand, it just had to do with price and size
.I got it online, free next day delivery :j:jThere's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -

Morning everyone, you move house without me
Can I start the day with a cooking question?
I am making quiche or at least vegetable flan. I've got some small indivual round tins and the normal round ones.
Does everyone blind bake the pastry first? Or does it only really matter if you are using a thick ceramic flan dish.
I've got go baking beans, don't even think I've got grease proof so what else can I use? Or can I just !!!!! the bases and pop them in the oven for a few mins to start them off?
Also my recipe needs 50g of breadcrumbs. I've never used these before in a flan so what are these before? I've got them ready anyway, looks a huge bowfull.
I've got youngest son home for a few days. At his house he now has a vegetarian/vegan and that has re kindled his love of cooking. So he has been experimenting with cous cous and bought himself a vast quantity from ebay.
He has also got some flan tins but he got soggy bottoms so we are doing flans today to see if we can cure the soggy bottom problem.
I've got the pastry done and sitting in the fridge ready for him to roll out and the onions fried and ready.
I've a
So got pancake mix ready for breakfast and the builder has arrived.
Such fun
I ALWAYS blind bake the pastry case for quiche otherwise it will be soggy.
One trick I have found with other pastry bases though is to sprinkle some semolina on the base, don't get the flavour but does stop the base going as soggy as it might do otherwise, only used it for sweet things so far though.
Never seen a flan recipe with breadcrumbs in it though, are they being used for thickening maybe? What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Where did you get it from please? And are there any codes around .................
I think my head is going to burst, and if our freezer goes wrong and I have to decide quickly I think I will go into meltdown. I thought when the kids moved out I would be able to get by with a smaller freezer, but with the fruit out of the garden, the chestnuts from last year, and whoopsies and the suchlike, I suspect I might accidentally buy a bigger one !What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

I agree with you Sarah and they are not that big either and I would much rather have a Cadburys creme egg;)
Ooh yes, creme eggs are lovely, I had one last one hiding in the cupboard for when I fancy a pick me up, and my eldest found it yesterday and ate it without telling me :mad:0 -

Now, if I was a "normal" person I would probably just go out and buy one. But I can't bring myself to do that, I have to find the best I can for the least I can, with the added bonus that I do not care what it looks like as it is shut away in the study! I just wish I lived further North so I could look in the outlet places
You lot will probably be glad when I've got one too, it must seem like I keep going on about it!!
So, glitch on nice big roomy freezer please
This freezer from Argos looks a good price at £159-99 and even better if you could find some discount codes anywhere!:)
