I sometimes suspect that we are being played by stores including T and A with some clever marketing ploy to clear stock/boost sales to hit some target or other. Mention glitch and we buy in droves. Anyone else now got a steam mop from Arg0s which they otherwise would not buy ...?

Guilty. I Really didn't need it tbh0 -

Juicy Plum Tomatoes family pack end of barcode 9896
The sel was £1.50 but looking at the receipt today (wasn't a pp shop) they scanned at £1.00. Just counted the tomatoes and there are 12 in the pack I have and N/A against the other supermarkets.

:rotfl: I do try to be patient and I know is how they learn. Sometimes I get a few looks from others thinking oh don't ignore the poor kid but I just don't think they realise how tiring why or even why not can be.
Might turn into my OH family and just answer with "jut because". So frustrating when they do that.Pan drawers in 2016 £1500 needed.0 -

Not that I'm aware. Just a not-that-good 2 for £3 offer on some 14 pack versions that could be added (two different items as using different versions in a mix and match) to a shop vs Sains. So, in theory, you could have 6 different grocery items plus a 14 pack Walkers and a different 14 pack Walkers (2 for £3) on Avs Sains., as the 14 pack Walkers (on offer in A) would return N/A. I think this is what the recent posts have referred to (nothing like as good as a glitch for £1.25 on a 20 pack, expired).
This would allow you to get them (the 14 pack ones) at the bargain:( price of 2 for £3. Because S does not stock any of the 14 pack versions, this would enable you to avoid losing money off the voucher. Such a loss would occur if you opted into a 10% off a higher price elsewhere, putting them on a comp. against a more than 10% higher-priced competitor, and thus that worked out as opting into a more expensive pricing than 2 for £3 (and reducing your APG voucher value accordingly). Whereas if you put on a comp. vs S this doesn't happen - as S doesn't stock any equivalent product. But it's not very good though.0 -
Shortfatscotsbloke wrote: »Bought in threes as the offer was £1.90 each or 3 for £3 in A. I could have bought 1 or 2 but I would have just got back the difference between what I actually paid (£1.90 each) and the price in S (£1 each). The glitch is that you pay the offer price (3 for £3) and the apg thinks you have actually paid £5.70, so gives you much more back.
Bought 9 as I like to keep my apg under a tenner, anything over a tenner needs the sa to input the value, which is a bit above some of them..
Fillers are either cheap items that you know cost the same or less elsewhere or normal shopping that is cheaper or the same price in your targeted shop.
Stick around and just read, read, read. Go back to the beginning of this thread and read, read, read. Look for the last thread or two and read them too.
Get to know the regulars, the personalities, the ones to avoid (Nerfdad, Dotty, me) and you'll be well away..:D
I read for a very very long time... still confused.com!
But pleased that you did not have me, Bubbs, EmmaP, PD and Tweets on avoid list!! We must be the nice personalities on the thread!!:D:D:D:D
