I use creditexpert.co.uk (experian) and whilst I couldn't find the percentage they do offer a really easy to read report and score. I could see exactly where I was being docked and what actions were considered good. I'd suggest going with the free trial there, nothing to lose. I'm cancelling mine before the 30 days are up.

    Hi all,

    I have a similar situation.

I have reduced o/s balances on half my cards to zero but on one in particular, the balance o/s is 82% of the credit limit and the message 'The usage of your available credit indicates a higher risk', appears, although some are at Zero% and the average balance is 43%.

I intend to reduce the high one (82%) this month but does anyone know what % reduces this 'higher risk' status, i.e. is it 50/60/70/80%? Obviously, ideally I'd like to reduce it as much as possible but may not be able to in one go.

Anyone with any experience or knowledge of this?

    Thanks,

Yes, thanks, gives me a good idea. I think I will go for less than 77% and sees what happens.

    Cheers.
