Not at all. It's far from unusual to get a few seemingly random historic codes if they've not been read/cleared for a while. Now that they have been, it should be read again, and the codes which have recurred should give an indication of what the problem is.
Correct answer!
The car should go back for the 'new' code to be read and appropriate action taken. See what the fault is.
Re: windscreen - fairly common that one, not really much that can be done. I don't advocate the fraud above though of break it deliberately to see if you can get a new one fitted on insurance.What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -

He knows that he'll have issues, eventually, doing that kind of mileage, but not immediately after buying the car. It's happened a couple of times since I posted originally.
We also found the 'three opportunities to fix' info and it's going back to the garage in a few days for them to have another look at the codes issue.
As the issues were present on purchase, the garage is having to sort it without charging us. Fingers crossed.In and out of debt since 2001. Old dogs CAN learn new tricks.
