Hi,
I am having a nightmare with a new wireless HP Photosmart 6520 printer I have bought. I set it up as per the instructions and it worked fine from my computer. A couple of days later I tried to print from my Ipad and it came up ' no air printers found' I then couldn't use it with my computer either. I switched everything off and rebooted everything and it worked. The following day and it isn't working again. Now I cant even find the printer on my computer at all. I don't think my computer is recognising my printer. Has anyone got any ideas to make this thing work. Many thanks for any suggestions.
Ps Forgot to say the printer works fine for copying, photos etc. just not for printing from computer, Ipad etc.

OK can you print a "status" page from the printer?
it should give you an IP address that the printer is using.
If you stick the IP address into a browser you should get a status/config page for the printer. If not then you will have to set the printer up again to see your network.
First test the printer using a USB cable if you have one handy that will make sure your PC has the correct drivers installed! then you can worry about wireless printing after that! ^_^Laters

Hi,
I printed off the status page and got the IP address but when i put that in the browser it doesn't recognise it. At that point I am stuck as not sure what to do now.
To set the printer up again do you mean I have to insert tthe CD. I have tried this but then seem to go around in circles as it asks me for the IP address then says it can't locate the printer and asks for the IP address and so on. It is driving me mad! Can you tell I'm useless with technology!0 -
Their should be an option to set the printer up using the LCD on the printer.
Make sure the printer connects to the WiFi.Laters

Hi Solitaire,
Thank you for your advise I have now got it working. I can't tell you how much time I have spent on it and now just sorted it in ten minutes! I connected it with a usb first then it let me switch to wireless. Hopefully it will continue to work now. Thank you again. I really appreciate it. :j0
