In regards of the Direct Lines refunds via Car Insurance etc.....
Does anyone know if this goes for when continuing business with them, but just changing for another car? (So it cancels out the previous policy)?
I note it does mention if you paid annually and cancelled mid term, just as long as no claims been made.
Thanks in advance.

I thought it was just cancelled policies.Does anyone know if this goes for when continuing business with them, but just changing for another car? (So it cancels out the previous policy)?
You could change your car on an existing policy or cancel and take out a fresh policy for the new car.0 -
Changing cars does not require a new policy. So no need need to cancel out the old policy.
BUT get quotes for the new car before buying it. Admin fee and premiun adjustment is all that it usually takes to swap a car on the policy.
If your in a situation where they wont cover the new car then you need to cancel the old policy and pay the admin fee etc. You will get a refund if you paid in full. Unless the admin fee comes out more than they owe you.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Thanks, that is what I wanted to double check on, we changed our car almost 4 years ago from a Subaru Impreza to a Ford Focus to keep costs down at the time, but stayed with Direct Line, so its possible they just changed the details and payments, this was approx 6 months after the yearly renewal.
Will see if i can find the old docs when the car was changed over, but I think it just carried on with just slightly different payments, because as there was still 6 months left before renewal was due again. (So just new paperwork for the car change), I'm sure it was that. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
