With that attitude surprised YOU can actually get out of bed in the morning .

Its plumbing in a washing machine not rocket science.

ps you are not a plumber short work??

For some people it can be rocket science - I've been to a couple of friends now that have tried to DIY plumbing after watching a YouTube video and made a complete mess of it.

Andrewf75 - you only need to plumb the cold fill, modern washing machines don't use hot water from the supply, they heat it themselves.

These pipe cutters are simple to use, especially when there's not a lot of room behind the pipe.

You'll need two adjustable spanners or one and a pair of largeish grips to hold everything as you do it up.

One of these tee valves is the simplest way to plumb it in.http://www.screwfix.com/p/washing-machine-valve-tee-15mm-x-bsp/60723

Another vote for screwfix, less joints , less available joints that might leak .

Thanks guys, I think I'll get some cutters and a tee valve and try and do it next week. Would like to be able to do this myself. Got to remove a kitchen unit first so hopefully the pipes will look as expected once I've removed it!
