I'm also glad to hear from you ZD, it sounds very hard, but I wish you well.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Good to hear your update, zulu dawn, I have been thinking of you.
It sounds as if you have a good, strong relationship and that should see you through in the long term. Yes the problems will not go away overnight, but with your joint commitment and your good earnings, you do have a debt-free future ahead of you.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

It is not an option for many reasons but most significantly because we have over £200k of equity in our property. Selling our house would obviously enable us to clear the debt but that would take us out of the property market and I anticipate a new mortgage would be a challenge.
Whilst interest on my usecured debt has largely been frozen and I have a good mortgage deal, I think staying where we are, however stressful, is financially and emotionally the right decision.

Well done ZD, keep up the DMP work, all I can advise, you want the relationship to work. Date the Mrs again, do the silly cheap nonsense things you used to do, make time, get sitters, may sound trite but says more than bombarding her with texts and calls like some may do.Competition wins. 2 festival camping tickets worth 310, case of grants whisky 74.

I'm pleased that you are getting there.
£145k is a lot of debt but you will get out of it eventually.
How is your wifes line of credit? Is there any likelihood of her getting either a low lob cc or a 0% cc? It might ease things a little.
You did an soa (iirc) but how about doing a new one with your current position and then set yourself a budget for when you do move in togeter again.
Good luck, it's going to be a slog but with determination I think you'll get there!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0
