Hi all,
I'm very new to the shares game and wondered if there was a website where I would be able to search for shares and find out their ex-div and payment dates.
I've just invested some money to buy 12 different shares and at present have no idea of the dates, or for that fact any potiential returns

Try this site. It gave me dates for HBOS shares so I think you may get what you want.

You can check the dividend values in your newspaper (if you buy one) but this information is also available on line. Good luck with your shares.0

one last quick question please, last week i brought 81shares in Dart Group as I can see potential in the company, and also because Jet2.com is branching out into holiday packages
Anway, on my account with Halifax is gives the following info:
Latest Dividend Announcement
Dividend Type
Final Ex Dividend Date04/07/2007
Amount1.43
Payment Date24/08/2007
As I brought the shares before 04/07/07 I assume I qualify for the div, and if this is the case, is 1.43 the amount in pence or pounds? ie should that be 1.43p meaning i will receive £1.15 because if it were in pounds surely £115 is way too high, especially given that they only cost me £89
I think I've answered my own question there but if someone can confirm that would be great, thanks.0 -
yes ive answered my own question as ive just checked one of my other shares against another website which had it in a better format
some of this is slightly confusing beings some companies/websites show things in certain ways!0 -
