Got on the scales this morning and had a shock, I am 11 pounds heavier than I want to be, no wonder my clothes are a bit tight, and last night's thai meal couldn't have helped! I need to do something about it, any ideas?
Low carb for a couple of weeks always works for me, cut down to between 20-30 grams per day and the 11lb will probably be gone in 2 weeks.

    Hi everyone,

DD is safely back from Mexico. DH has gone on a last minute trip to Donnington but not to stay overnight.

I'm feeling a bit better today so I shall see how I go. I need to take the car to get one of the tyres checked because it seems to be losing pressure.

Hope you all have a good day.

    Morning all,

Just been for my impressions for my new teeth, very strange, like having antiseptic play dough in your mouth eughh
Still desperately need a manicure but my dh gave me a pedicure last night so that's saved me some money, very good he was too, only needed a few pointers:p
Feeling very frustrated as I can't help out with work at the mo and dh is very quiet, ah hum we will get through somehow.
Dd has made a pie for tea and leftover potatoes from Saturday night
Watched Bridesmaids last night which always makes me laugh.
Not much happening otherwise, have a good Monday x

Same-old same-old in the Wolf's Lair today - I feel a bit of a fraud posting, as I've nothing interesting to report. Highlight of this morning has been making chocolate buns for Mr LW's lunch box. They look really nice; shame I shan't be sampling them.:o

We have to attend the CAMRA branch meeting tonight - for once, it's at a venue I know we can get the wheelchair in (no idea if they have disabled loos, though), and I don't have any dogs here at present, so we ought to show willing.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • It feels really chilly today and it has been raining so the washing is on the airers.

Had podiatry which includes a pedicure this morning and my feet feel so much better :) have to go back in six weeks as usual.

The right hand column switch that DH needs for the car is no longer being made but the left one is ??????????? But I managed to get one on ebay . DH says he is going up to the breakers to see if he can source more parts and keep them in the shed just in case.

Just counted my coupon and lottery winning pot and have £122 in there :D That is since January, I am really surprised how much I have in there in such a short space of time.:j

I have to go and get my mug shot for my blue badge done on Wednesday after I have been to the doctor.
Our council charges £10 now and we have to fill in a 27 page form  And the questions are even worse than those on the DLA form . Luckily because I have an indefinite award with higher mobility I automatically get it without assessment. Talk about totalitarian state

  • Am back from doctors. He did the steroid injection into my hip there and then :T
Am so pleased but feeling a little sore now. Have orders to rest for the next week then we should hopefully be able to decide when I am able to return to work :T
Luckily nipped to aldi for bits and pieces of shopping first thing, then went out with my dad and sisters for a coffee and chat.
So a few days stuck in the house but eventually will be on the way :T
Guess I will just have to watch tele and read for the next while ;)
Hope everyone is having a good day xxx

    Afternoon all,

Nothing much been happening here either Lame Wolf so dont feel a fraud :D I made a birthday cake for DH yesterday, just a Victoria sponge with jam and buttercream but its his favourite, and its quick and easy .I had to put lots of candles on so DGD could help Grandpa blow them out.She ran in with her red party frock on telling me it was his birthday and she had to help him undo his presents :) so we had a nice day.

DH hasnt much work on at the moment but has just priced some up so fingers crossed,he's been at home for the last few days and DS who works for him is starting to panic a bit now he's in his own house :(

Plenty of food in the freezers so we'll not go hungry yet.I got a duck crown last week reduced,we love crispy duck pancakes but I can't find the pancakes for sale anywhere-we used to have a little Chinese food stall on the market and they had frozen ones but its gone now,any ideas ?

I've decided to get rid of some of the stuff we keep hanging on to,a china dinner service that was MILs,its in lovely condition but we never use it,we have one we use for visitors/Christmas etc and another besides our everyday plates.I have a teaset I bought when we first got married, never seem to use that either so I've boxed them up and will prob take to a charity shop. They have them on eby but dont seem to have bids on them really, and it'd have to be a local pick up-wouldnt fancy posting them!

Anyway, better go and sort chicken out for tea-have a good evening & hugs and spoons all round to those in need xx

    Afternoon everyone!
First timer joining in the daily thread :)
Not had a very exciting day - working all day and still have a bit longer to go. Luckily tea is ready for when I get home, me and OH are having leftovers from yesterdays Sunday dinner.

Hoping to make some wheat bags this week - maybe tomorrow - but using rice as I have loads in, and then adding lavender as a gift for my Grandma's birthday.

Ready for a cup of tea and sit on the sofa with the OH tonight before he falls to sleep after being up at 3am this morning to start work, I was still tucked up in bed cosy!!

Hope everyone has a lovely evening whatever you are up to.
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
