Washing Machine Smoking!!

Help!!
I've just been to the garage and my washing machine has smoke coming out of it. All the clothes smell of smoke. :mad:Any ideas on what could be wrong with it and how much a repair would cost? The machine is 4 years old and is a Hoover Performance 1200.

at a guess i'ld say the motor has burnt out i would personally buy a new washer

I had my dad look at it and it is knackered!! Need to get new machine. Argos have got one at £199 reduced from £299 so that looks the ticket.0

I did a bit of research on washers last year when ours went kaput - most cheap ones are pretty much non-serviceable. We got a john lewis one for about £300 (and quidco).
Apparently it's serviceable and comes with a 3yr warranty included.0
