Scottishpower ripping me off?

I recently made the switch from scottish power to EDF and I had noticed my account had built up a small amount of credit overtime (around £200). I phoned up scottish power and asked them for a refund, and they said they will send out a cheque which will take upto 14 days to arrive (I should add that the credit disappeared from my account a few hours after I had phoned)... Waited about a month, and nothing came, so I phoned up again and now they're denying my account was ever in credit. On top of that, they have given me a pretty strange final bill, billing me from the period of the 17th of Ocotober till the 7th of Jan (when the switch happened) although they've been receiving £150 EVERY month from direct debit payments. My last direct debit payment was around the 30th of December so why am I being billed all the way from October?

Hi, are you sure that the £200 credit wasn't just showing because the final 7th Jan meter reading hadn't been taken into account.

From your post you dont seem to understand the workings of a utility credit account ......during winter months of November/December etc. usage can easily run at £250+ per month.

When did you last receive a bill prior to 7th Jan.
