right i stumbled on some misdescribed items and got them really cheap on ebay
now i know i can resell them for good money properly described, but if the potential buyer checks my feedback they will see i got it for 99p and possibly be put off
so can i hide the items ive previously purchased? private feedback or something?

It can't be done once an auction has finished. However the easiest thing to do is to open a second account and use one for buying and one for selling.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. you can make your profile private but as far as i can remember you can't sell if it's private. Unless you try listing it and then making your profile private while the auction is live.0

If you make your feedback private though you are no longer enabled to sell.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. right...kinda relucatant to make a second account as i have 200+ 100% positive feedback which would make buyers feel safe0

Can't you wait for 3 months until you sell them? Then a buyer will see the item number and what you bought but they won't be able to open a link or see what you paid for it?0

yeah i'll have to wait 3 months i guess ...shame though0

any of your friends got ebay accounts?0

hi i was the same but soon getting good feedback on new account.0

Why not be honest and actually boast about the last clown misdescribing it???
Like you said, it is worth a lot more if properly described.
I reckon it would be worth a go, if it doesnt work, you are going to wait 3 months anyway0 -
When i check buyers feedback i usually only check the first page of feedback so you could try buying/selling some things to push the purchase you want to hide off the first page of feedback.
