Screen display issue

Hope some one can help with a problem with my sons PC. He was uninstalling some software he had downloaded and the screen is now 2" left of center, so the start button does not display, when in the recommended 1680*? resolution.
I have run and fixed all issues in Malwarebytes however the display is still to the side.
Changing the resolution to 1080*? the issue disappears.

Unfortunately he is a sleep so cant get on the machine until tomorrow.
Anyone ideas as to what he might of done?

  • I guess the problem here is related to video card. For confirming this you can connect your monitor to any other computer and viceversa. If it works fine with other system and other system's monitor which is connected to your system acts the same way your monitor was doing then probably the problem is related to your video card.
