Probably worth 1 punt at a new balance transfer card before contacting card 3 which is now clear to see if they have any bt offers?0

I see there are a load of long by deals at the moment but if I apply for one how can I ensure that I'll be given a high enough limit to transfer all of my debt to it?
0

Why do you think it is better to try for a new card before contacting your existing card 3 provider? If they offer a good deal, you could clear card 2 onto it, and reduce the interest hugely. Then you can close card 2.
Use what you have first. Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

I called credit card company 3 but they wouldn't offer me any deals, so have closed the account, also I closed another account (card 4) that I hadn't used for years.
company 4 could only offer me a new deal if i closed and reapplied in 6 months time.
now that I've closed these 2 accounts (a total of £4000 credit limit) does that mean that i'll be able to apply for another card and expect a limit of around £4000? (obviously once it has all registered with credit ref agency)?0 -
Presumably you could transfer some of card 2 balance to the Life of Balance offer on card 1 if nothing else is available? Maybe then get an offer from card 2.0
