Contents insurance in shared house

Hi,

I'm about to move into a shared house. Two other people already live there and it's a joint tenancy.

My room is unfurnished, so including my bedroom furniture, I'll probably have £2,000 worth of stuff in my room. How do I insure it? What sort of policy do I need, and are there any insurance companies I should check out?

So far I've checked Endsleigh (who I used as a student), but they're very expensive. I'm not sure what I should be googling to find the right product.

Endsleigh, or don't bother and be self-insured. Contents insurance for shared accommodation is always going to be expensive.

could be worth looking on https://www.spareroom.co.uk or similar sites but agree with bristol_pilot that Endsleigh's are probably first port of call
