Car Insurance - Multiple cars and No Claims Bonus

Hi all,

I understand that I need multiple car policies each earning their own NCBs for each car I own and drive. So no issues there.

However, what happens if I were to claim on one of those policies? Would that wipe the NCB from just that policy, or when you answer the question "have you had any claims" on renewal on the other policies, would they be wiped too?

The fair answer would be no (especially as each NCB has to be earned in their own right).

Any ideas?

if you have (or are named on) multiple policies then any accident you have must be declared to all but only the policy actually claimed on will have the NCB reduced
