How long should a quick scan take with Malwarebytes?
I've just run a Quick Scan??? with Malwarebytes.
Objects scanned 258637
Objects detected 0
Time elapsed 45 mins 23 secs.
Is this normal?

I do a long scan in the background each morning and it generally takes between 2 and 3 hours, so that sounds about right for the short version.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Well, for me a quick scan (on an 8 year old PC, so pretty slow) takes around 10 minutes to check a similar number of objects. But there are a lot of variables, so I'm not sure it makes much sense to compare.Stompa0

Mine on a quick scan took
Time elapsed: 1 minute(s), 26 second(s)
It all depends on how fast your drives are and how much data
I have 53GB of used data on a Samsung SSD 840 EVO.0 -

Well that explains why mine is so slow. It's only 1GB on a Packard bell.

Quick scan with mbam should take no more than about 10-15 minutes - 45 is way too long.
Try cleaning your temp files first. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/delete-files-using-disk-cleanup#delete-files-using-disk-cleanup=windows-70 -

I ran the cleanup before running Malwarebytes. I think it's just a very slow PC. When I bought it in 2002, it only had 256 MB but info from the wiz-kids on this site directed me to get it upgraded to 1GB.Trying to learn something new every day.0
