Cashing VISA Travellers Cheques

Hi All

Has anyone any idea where i can cash back my VISA euro travellers cheques comiision free ? i am having trouble ! post office dont do it and nor do barclays and natwest wanted to charge £5...

    Won't that place buy them back commission free?

    Even if you find somewhere to cash them commission-free there will be a hefty commission built into the exchange rate - something like 15% (yes 15% is typical) over what you paid for them.

    Keep them for another trip.

    they charge to buy them back...£5 per transaction

    i went to travel care (co-op) they bought them back at 1.58 or summat , i got £62.90 for 100 euro , seems good to me
    commison free also

    As dzug says you have lost out considerably on the exchange rate.
    You were happy to get 1.58 but at what rate did you buy them at??

    At something like 1.42 or 1.43 you have 'lost' 15 cents in the pound! Expensive.
