in Credit cards
Over the past few months I have been denied a couple of credit cards, even though I have no defaults or missed payments on my record. I've now got a Capital One Extra card, in addition to my maxed Barclaycard. I have been granted a Help To Buy mortgage, which are notoriously difficult to get unless you're squeaky clean, so I can't work it out.
Will I have been denied other cards because my available credit is so low? Will having a second card, which I don't plan to use, make me more attractive to other CC lenders?
