Applying for a cashback card?

Hi

I was wondering - If myself and my wife were to apply for a cash back card, would it affect our credit rating, in regards to applying for a mortgage at the end of this year?

We like the idea of using a cash back card, though we are weary of the chance of being turned down and it looking bad for us when we apply for a mortgage later this year.

We both have good credit rating as far as we know. I did do the eligibility checker on this site and the results where..

Capital One Classic extra 90% chance

Amex Platinum Everyday 50%

Amex Platinum 50%

The Capital One card is aimed at people with poor credit history, so even if we were successful in our application for this card..would it look bad for us when applying for a mortgage?

The Amex cards look good, though if our application is denied, would this also look bad for us when applying for the mortgage?

Thanks for reading and any help would be greatly appreciated.
