Bank contacting me 15 months after PPI claim

In November 2012 I made a claim through Direct Redress against my bank HSBC just to see whether I had been sold PPI as a family advised me to just try. Through the claim I was offered just under a mere £20, commission going to Direct Redress I had about £17. I was under the impression that was the end of it, full and final settlement.
However HSBC have phoned me today saying they are reviewing the case and asked me a load of questions, they caught me off guard, thinking now surely they shouldnt phone me when I had instructed Direct Redress? They said they are reassessing my claim and will write to me with the outcome.
This has totally thrown me, really stressed me out, wish I hadnt bothered trying to claim now but im also glad it is only £20 and not £2000. Where do I stand??

If they are reassessing your complaint this is actually good news! You stand to gain by this and the Bank will not seek any money from you!Where do I stand??
The bad news is that Direct Redress will want another cut of any extra money you may be awarded and the legally binding contract you signed with them will entitle them to this.0
