So what about somebody with say 3 or 4 years NCB? Would an incident in such instance wipe this out?0 -
Checked with Policy Expert that now includes Aviva (Aviva's site is off the air the entire weekend!!) and yes they are dropping it by 10% but not TO 3 years, it still bumping up the premium which is another reason to switch next year to another insurer so on balance a bit of headache for my neighbor but much heavier wallet for me.:p
On 15 years then 2 years max then?0 -

By the look of it Aviva operates something called 'safe driver' status which they take away if you have one claim and up to a certain amount claimed. This they say is the 10%
It is hard to say exactly how this 10% is calculated or how many years it is worth but when looking at the premiums charged upon renewal the numbers are anywhere between 10 to 20%.Five exclamation marks the sure sign of an insane mind!!!!!

For 6 years and under existing NCD, a single claim reduces the NCD by 2 years. Somebody with 1 or 2 years NCD would have this reduced to zero. (The company in question is People's Choice/Hastings Direct. I've no idea how common this sort of approach is.)0
