years ago my husband used to transport cheese straws into Britain from france/Switzerland. they were transported in clear plastic trays and delivered around Britain for packaging by various companies.
check the packaging. if it says produce of Switzerland, they are likely to be the same.
the aldi ones in the black packaging I think are generally the cheapest0 -
Ohh they are all yummy! I work in a sainsburys local and ours are i think 2 for £1.20 so works out the same per item as the big stores 3 for 2. I love Morrisons ones, they are in like a thin cardboard tray with thin plastic stuff round them in packs of 2. Tried Lidls bakery ones the other week as ours has a new bakery, they were yum too. Ohh they are all just yumyumyum but no good for my fat bumSmokefree since 27-9-20070

notisis has said that they don't always have them when they go - it's worth having a word with the bakery staff at your local.
Does it look like this?
Or this?
I don't mean this!0 -
Wish I could buy them by the box load and bake them at home!
The ones Tesco & Morrisons sell come in boxes of 50 (saw the box in Tesco ages ago)

On Friday Morrisons bakery counter had 2 or 3 in a pack for £1.20 and they were huge - bigger than the ones in my local bakery that sell for 90p each. They also had other varieties of cheese twists (eg with various herbs or tomato) for the same price. Didn't look too closely as I was waiting for them to cut my bread and was sniffing the hot cross buns they were taking out the ovens!0
