I've recently discovered Cheese twists.
Which shop sells the best ones?

Sainsbury's 90p however 3 for 2 giving 60p each when you buy 3
Co op is pricy at 85p but isn't very nice IMO
Lidl very nice even at 9pm! 75p each

I haven't tried anywhere else , however I know that Tesco do some? i don't think Asda or Morrisons do Cheese Twists but what about Waitrose?

Also does anyone have any recipes for making your own?

    Dear Londoner,

I've never found a twist I didn't like so can't point you at a best.

Not a recipe for your own just an idea.
My partner, usually when making summat with flaky pastry, uses the offcuts to make rough cheese straws.
Recombine the offcuts. Roll flat. Liberally sprinkle with strong cheese - e.g. chedder, mature Edam. Fold & Roll a couple of times. Cut into strips. Sprinkle with more cheese, bit of parmesan is great. Bake.

Warm with a glass of red, yummy,

    regards,
    Colin

Morrisons do cheese twists (although not every time I've been to the bakery dept) and they are yummy!

Was it a big Morrisons store? Was it pre-packaged or freshly baked?

    Hi
In my mind morrisons are the best nice and flaky. Pre-packed
The following are exactly the same - Tesco , Sainsburys. made with margarine & butter
also - Asda, co-op , Waitrose, Aldi - made with butter.

They are probably made in the same factory.
    March GC 01-29th £458.77 / £500.00.:j NSD 6/15
    April GC 29th-30th £239.36 / £450.00 NSD 1/15
    For 2 adults, DS11, DD9 & 2dogs. Includes all food, toiletries, take-aways, lunches etc.

Waitrose are the best for me followed by M&S.

I used to own a cheese shop and used to take a lot of trimmings home. My wife would pop them in the food processor with some butter and flour. Roled and cut they made the yummiest cheese biscuits imaginable. Only took 8-10 mins in the oven, cut to 50p size.

Maybe not twisty enough for ya?!

I prefer the fresh cheese twists to the pre-packaged ones

ask instore - perhaps they only bake them on certain days - like Friday for the weekend, or something like that?

notisis has said that they don't always have them when they go - it's worth having a word with the bakery staff at your local. :)
