Unauthorised withdrawal by Britih Gas

After making an authorising payment to British Gas via the phone another charge appeared on my bank statement which British Gas say they never took or recieved. Alliance and Leicester will notrefund the amount s they say I have left it too late and British Gas no loger respond to my letters?

What do I do next to reclain the 140?

    It wouldn't do any harm, to flesh your problem out with a bit more detail.

    How long ago was this? Don't you check your statements? Maybe you confuse the date of telephone payment with the actual date, the money left the account? The money cannot have disappeared into thin air.
