Trouble there is the asking price was given by a rival bidder some weeks ago at which time the house was taken straight off the market as the seller wanted a fast sale stating the hose had been on the market too long. The bidder then backed out and now the seller smells blood.0

Yup. As is the sellers perrogative.
Clearly its no longer the "distressed market" and "you'll be doing the seller a favour taking it off his hands" market that some on this forum would have us believe.
Whats its price, relative to RV?0 -
This may be of interest.

Would be interesting if they would do a report into the number of Empty houses in northern Ireland be it vacated, Unfinished, old/dilapidated, empty social housing (as highlighted by Spotlight program). Would make interesting reading !!0 -

Also number of starts rather than completions. To my eyes there is a fair problem slowly developing. Be it new build, unfinished or dilapidated we need investment to see the completion figures rise significantly.[STRIKE]Less is more.[/STRIKE] No less is Less.0 -

Most of the developments round where i live that were previously closed have reopened and further building commenced. Most seem quite successful too.0 -
I realise this thread hasn't been maintained at all but thought an update was overdue:
There are currently 14,304 properties listed on PropertyPal.com
Based on the Northern Ireland Residential Property Price Index, there were a total of 5,119 verified transactions during Q3 2015.
This would appear to suggest that the 12 months supply of properties referred to in the original post 2 years ago has reduced to about 8.5 months supply.0
