Dalyan/Fethiye (Turkey)- Accomodation Advice PLZ

Hi everyone.
I have just booked flights to Dalaman for me and my family from 20-27 May. Now I am looking to book accomodation in either the Fethiye/Dalyan area- not sure which yet though.
Does anyone know of any accomodation in either of these two areas where we could have a private pool? My partner has burn marks on his body and is very self-conscious about swimming in public. Our budget for accomodation is only about £300 though so not sure if this will be possible? We don't even mind self-catering, as long as my partner can have a good time.
We have two children aged two and five so just wanted to know which of these two areas would people recommend? We want a quiet holiday with nice scenery, close-by beaches and local markets for shopping.
Thanks in advance.

Haven't stayed in that area for years but I fly into Dalaman regularly. I think you need to look at Dalyanwhich is probably closest resort area to the airport or, as you say, Fethiye or further afield. Gocek is closer to airport than Fethiye if distance is a consideration. If you want private then you need to look at villas but I'm not sure what you'll get for your budget but you might be lucky as (I think) that's the week before the Bank Holiday/Half Term.0

If you're not hiring a car then you'll need to make sure that your accommodation is close to a local bus (dolmus) route.
Fethiye is an excellent hub, a vibrant working town which mixes tourism in seamlessly. Glorious scenery, lovely marina, loads of reasonably priced places to eat, markets and shops. You feel as though you are Turkey.
Short distance by dolmus to places like Hisaronu, Olu Deniz, Calis Beach, and Gocek.
Not my favourite place, but you might be able to find a reasonable priced place in the Calis Beach area.0 -
Hi
Thanks for all your replies.
I've done a bit of research and looks like a private pool may not be doable on my budget of £300.
So now wanting to know which area I should go for Dalyan or Fethiye?
We want a peaceful holiday with everything close by. We would ideally like to visit beaches and do bits of shopping each day. I am looking to buy cheap clothes and household items etc.
Is there anywhere where this is all possible? Please note we have two kids under the age of 5 so going on long day trips may be a bit too much.
Thanks.0 -

Dalyan is good if you want peaceful, we were there in October. Really nice town and set in the river so you can go up to the lake or down to the beach by boat, or also take a minibus to the latter.
Rock tombs and history including an ancient city nearby and turtles depending in when you are there. Pretty close to dalaman airport though our transfers were slow.
Went to fethiye a few years ago, nice enough place but very average resort, stayed in olu Deniz and the best parts were further east in my opinion but that's a long transfer and longish day trips out.0
