All reasonable points but not really helpful to the OP.

I beg to differ as I believe my post fully answered the OP's query & I have experience in this field.

As long as a Certificate of Adequacy has been issued once remedial work is completed, it means the house has been passed as sound & this certificate is key when wishing to sell the property on at any future time.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

It does not stop insurers from charging a ridiculous amount of money for buildings insurance however. I would run away from this property!

    What's your experience?

In terms of practicalities then your post hasn't really helped the OP, as he may well be purchasing a property at a higher price than it may be worth. Whilst the insurer may commit to continuing cover there is no guarantee on the premium, a useful analogy is flood insurance where insurers may commit to continuing cover but the premiums can increase by hundreds of per cent.
