Pleas Help! Barclays havent responded since Sept!!

                    I wonder if someone can give me some advice, I had a Barclaycard a few years ago and wrote to Barclays with regards to the PPI on the card. It was more out of curiosity at the time, I didnt hear anything so went to my local branch and filled in relevant forms, again I didnt hear anything so i visited my local branch again about 6 weeks later and was told to fill in forms. I did that and sent them back through the branch, again a few weeks back went past and nothing. Just before christmas I sent a email through the online site had a general reply saying id have response within 5 days - again nothing!! in the new year i then called,was told someone would get back to me with regards to my inital enquiry, again nothing!!! I sent another long email explaining everything and finally got a letter saying they are looking into my complaint and will get back to me with a outcome by by Feb 18th - again nothing!!!! I cant quite believe it is taking all this time to even have an acknowledgment. So this week Ive sent 2 emails and have contacted the ombusman. Anybody have any idea what i can do next? I just dont know where to go from here if they arent replying. Ive ranted at the branch and over the phone but it doesnt seem to get me anywhere. I always thought banks had a time frame in responding? Thanks!

            If its any help there are a vast amount of people waiting on Barclays to respond.
 My complaint was upheld by the FOS in early September 2013 and I was told that Barclays would contact me .....no response.
 After contacting the FOS in December they wrote to say that Barclays could not deal with the complaint as they had no up to date details of my account ( I moved and at the time the FOS and Barclays were told about this ) so now Barclays needed my ID and utility bills .
 Sent in January as instructed and to date No response.
 It seems that we are in a big queue.
 Have you written to the PPI dept by post ?
 I have not used the e mail method perhaps I should .Light travels faster than sound.
 This is why some people seem as bright until you hear them.0
