You didn't sound harsh at all, joeyjimbles. It's all food for thought. :) My buyer hasn't replied yet so we'll see how it goes.

Misstara, I'm sure everyone on these boards has their eye on your diary right now, everyone is rooting for you, you make it all seem possible and worth keeping on going. Well done!

£500 paid to the target card. I need to see how this month develops before I pay any more.

    Good night everyone. x

With the overpayment, regular payment and a few quid extra to round it down to a nice even number, today the target card stands at £3920.00

    :j:j:j:j:j

    That's better already!

I've really been struggling the last few days. I haven't overspent, but feeling so fed up with all of this, constantly checking credit cards and bank accounts online, worrying about it, trying to figure out how to save for the wedding at the same time as pay off debt. :( It really is so difficult, I don't know how we all manage it.

I just want to say a massive well done to everyone on here, for keeping on going, for getting those debts under control, for taking charge even when we don't feel like it, and mostly for managing to stay sane during the process.

Onwards to another debt busting day.

    xx

Dont get disheartened! Maybe only do a check every other day...otherwise it can all get a bit consuming and then thats when you take the foot of the break completely and it runs away with you. I Know ;)

Thanks INOD and Imagogam. I know you're right. Persistance is the answer to all this. We know what to do and just need to keep doing it until the debt is gone. It's a hard month with OH's birthday but it really was worth it. Life happens too on this journey.

I'm away to look up how much less debt I have today than this time last year. That'll chirp me up. :)

On a different note, anyone else play the free postcode lottery? I haven't won anything yet but I'm hopeful.

    Happy debt busting everyone.

Sorry you are feeling despondent - I think everyone gets like that at some point.

Personally for me I have a few days of planning before payday (all planned on my yearly spreadsheet but I double check) and then payday comes and I move all my money around and then all my DD's go out and I update YNAB and that's it for another month.

I can't pay my debts off any faster really, well I do surveys etc but in terms of overtime we don't have that so I just plod along thinking that I need to rejig my figures but actually my current plan works for me and it will take time.

I have plans for the future but who knows when we will see these come to fruition - I try not to dwell too much and just keep saving until the time comes.

Well done for paying off £4k since November.

Yes I do FPL............and I have bonus of over £17! Never won anything :( I think the chances are better if there are more than one registration with your postcode - fat chance here as only 3 houses with our postcode :rotfl: I keep at it though as it free!!
