Has anyone used Agoda? I have found a good price for an Aussie hotel on here but wonder if they are a 'safe' site and if there are hidden charges I have missed in my excitement of a good price.

The only thing I don't like about them is they never include the taxes which everyone else does

Agree with littlereddevil.

But the opening page of individual hotels usually tells you what isn't included, so the bottom-line price shouldn't be too much of a shock. And in any case the final price is usually about the same as booking on other accommodation websites.

I've had some excellent deals booking through Agoda, and I can't recall any particular disappointments, and never had any admin glitches.

Just be careful that you follow the booking instructions properly.

It's always worth checking the Agoda (or whoever) price directly with the hotel. If they can offer you the same [or v.close] price, then it might be worth booking direct. At least then you'll have opened up a contact with the hotel, and any personal preferences/problems can be sorted out direct.
