This is me today...
Trying to upgrade my current account with Nationwide. Says on the internet banking i can do this online, brilliant i thought...it only takes 3 minutes. Wrong.
It just takes me to a page which says 'unfortunately you cannot upgrade online please call blah, blah, blah or call into your local branch'
So i called the number given and after quite a long wait i got through to someone who said i should be able to do this online (i can't) so he tried...he couldn't either.
Then asked me whether it was a single or joint account. As it's joint i now have to go into my not so local branch....
It would be a great idea if it actually worked...
