Whatever you want to call it, T-mobile sent a text to my PAYG phone yesterday, and said if I top up with a FIVER within the next FIVE DAYS, I will get a FIVER free credit. 'Terms apply' But of course, not a mention of what the 'terms' are.
So I had two pounds credit left this morning, and I bought a fiver's worth of credit this afternoon and put it on my phone, expecting the balance to be twelve pounds. Was it? Was it hell. It was seven pounds. The voucher had only credited five pounds and not the promised ten pounds, to my phone.
Stop sending texts with false promises and lies T-mobile. If you are going to promise and extra fiver's worth of credit if someone gets a fiver's worth, then GIVE IT TO THEM. And don't be putting your crappy 'terms apply' disclaimer on the end, with NO HINT OF WHAT THE TERMS ARE OR HOW TO FIND OUT WHAT THEY ARE!
Very annoyed!

What did they say when you asked them?
It may be that the terms are "credit applied within 3 days of you topping up" in which case it's a bit soon to be saying scam.0 -
Are you sure it wasn't this offer? http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/billing-and-payment/how-to-top-up/?WT.mc_id=ON_TM_W_Topup#
Although that is top up £10 between Monday and Friday and get £10 free to use at the weekend. You also have to text them to activate it on your account.0 -
These things often come on a few days after you top up.
What have they said when you called them? I'm presuming you did.0 -
I had a similar text yesterday except was to top up £10 and it worked for me, however you will find your free credit shows as a bonus on your account - double check it by sending a free text with just the word "allowance" to 150 (T-Mobile customer services). The OP has been pretty active since joining last month so hopefully won't be too ashamed to come back and let us know what happened when he contacted T-Mobile.0
